 Materiality

By examining the major parts including the living room, dinning room and boudoir of the house where materials are rich and warm , I observe the different moods of material use in the house. Marble- Public Space. Wood-More Private Space. Pale Maple- Intimate and Feminine Space.

Volumes

Dramatic changes in heights and volumes are performed in the house. These difference are carefully created by Loos to suit the different use of the space. It is an interesting way to create a "sectional model" which compressed a model without losing the important information considering the changes in 3-dimensional interlocking space.

Villa Muller

"My architecture is not conceived in plans, but in spaces (cubes). I do not design floor plans, facades, sections. I design spaces. For me, there is no ground floor, first floor, etc...For me, there are only contiguous, continual spaces, rooms, anterooms, terraces, etc. Storeys merge and spaces relate to each other." Adolf Loos.
